Features & applications:

304

Grade 304 is the standard "18/8" stainless; it is the most versatile and most widely used stainless steel, available in a wider range of products, forms and finishes than any other. It has excellent forming and welding characteristics. The balanced austenitic structure of Grade 304 enables it to be severely deep drawn without intermediate annealing, which has made this grade dominant in the manufacture of drawn stainless parts such as sinks, hollow-ware and saucepans. For these applications it is common to use special "304DDQ" (Deep Drawing Quality) variants. Grade 304 is readily brake or roll formed into a variety of components for applications in the industrial, architectural, and transportation fields. Grade 304 also has outstanding welding characteristics. Post-weld annealing is not required when welding thin sections.

Applications for 304 include: Food processing equipment, kitchen equipment, sink and appliance, medical instrument. etc.

304

Grade 430 is a ferritic, straight chromium, non-hardenable grade, combining good corrosion resistance and formability characteristics with useful mechanical properties. Its ability to resist nitric acid attack permits its use in specific chemical applications but automotive trim and appliance components represents its largest fields of application.

Applications for 430 grade include: dish washer, washing machine, gas stove, garbage can, refrigerator cabinet panels. etc.

409

409 is a titanium stabilised ferritic stainless steel. Although regarded as a general-purpose chromium stainless steel the primary application for Grade 409 is automotive exhaust systems. Its applications are those where appearance is a secondary consideration to mechanical properties and corrosion resistance and where some weldability is required.

Applications for 409 include: Automotive exhaust systems, catalytic converters, mufflers.

D11

The raw material & technology of D-11 is from NIPPON METAL INDUSTRY CO., LTD. of JAPAN. Actually it is EN1.4372 modified type, and similar as 202 in Nickel content, but much better than 202 in other chemical and physical property. Quality of D-11 is close to 304 and can be used instead of 304 in many applications but price is much cheaper. It contents 3.5 ~ 5% Nickel, 17 ~ 18% Chrome and 2 ~ 3.5% Copper to enhance the elongation and formability characteristics.

Applications for D-11: Can replace 304 in almost all applications especially kitchen sink, rolling door.

201

201 contents 1 ~ 1.5% Nickel, 13~16% Chrome and 1.5~2.5% Copper. It can replace 304 in some applications, but the corrosion resistance and formability characteristics are not as good as 304.

Applications for 201: Building material, kitchen equipment, cookware .etc..

202

202 contents 4 ~ 4.5% Nickel, 14~16% Chrome and 1~2% Copper. It can replace 304 in most applications, but the corrosion resistance and formability characteristics are not as good as 304.

Applications for 202: Can replace 304 in almost all applications.
